Ally bank requires a 24 hour notice for cash withdrawls exceeding you're daily limit.

Fine, no problem. I called them and and gave notice that I would need to make a 4,900.00 cash advance withrawl from my account at a non Ally local bank for a vehichle purchase from a private seller who demanded cash only. I made an agreement with the seller for a 1,000.00 cash deposite with the balance to be paid in full in 7 days or lose the deposite. Given the situation with Ally's withdrawl policy. I was assured by Ally that the funds would be available on the last day that the balance was to be paid in full. I went to a local bank to pick up the cash advance but it was declined. I immediately called Ally. The customer service rep told me to wait another hour and try again. I did and got declined again. I called back. This time they told me that it was set up as a point of sell only ( credit swipe charge ). This did help due to the fact that the seller requires cash and does not keep a credit card swipe machine handy in his home. This had been thoroughly explained and the reason why I gave notice in the first place. They refused to raise my daily withrawl limit for one time only for this cash purchase even after I explained the agreement that I had with the seller.

Anyway, after about the sixth phone call and 4 trips to the bank I talked the seller into excepting a money order. He agreed. So off I went to the post office to do a point of sell purchase for the money order. Guess what happened next, you got it, declined again. At this point I'm irate. I call the bank again. This time they tell me to cash a personal check drawn on Ally at a non Ally bank. Ya right never happens. At this point I gave up and had to forfeit my 1,000.00 deposite. With 12,400.00 in this account I think I have a right to my own money when I need it.

In summary, this was a nightmare as well as a humiliating, and irritating experience which left me compromised and disgusted with Ally.

DON'T USE THEM
